Hello!

My name is Camille! I am a Registered Dietitian, holding a Master’s degree in Nutrition & Dietetics, practicing in Southern Pines, North Carolina! My husband & I recently moved to North Carolina from upstate New York where I lived for my entire life.

I started Camille Van Patten (CVP) Nutrition which has recently made the change to “The Full Plate” to work as an independent contractor, serving clients in multiple areas while also maintaining the flexibility to serve the community. I started this at the same time I became a mom and experiencing postpartum. I swiftly realized how intense postpartum can be- giving up your body essentially to take care of another. If you know me you’ve heard me mention my Facebook due date groups- sorry, I love them! In those groups at around 3-6 months postpartum, I noticed many of the members asking for weight loss tips and more (unqualified) members offering horrible advice. I think it is against the group rules to sell services or products and I knew I just didn’t have the capacity to start a private practice right then and there and accept all these women desiring weight loss. So- The Full Plate was born!

In the nutrition and wellness space there is so much confusion and misinformation. I want to help clear that up and make nutrition a fun and exciting topic to discuss rather than pushing you to “eat healthy”. The one thing that people tend to assume about nutrition professionals - that I am NOT - is that they’re “the food police”. I am not here to tell people what to eat or not eat. Simply present facts and knowledge so that you and your community can make informed decisions about your health. After all- we all like what we like and want to enjoy life!

In my practice, I serve clients with eating & feeding disorders, picky eating, and children with weight challenges. Outside of my private practice, I serve postpartum women on their journey to reclaim their strongest body while fully enjoying motherhood!

In my free time, I am spending time with my husband & baby, getting outside for walks, and trying new recipes!
