Real Food for Real Motherhood
Here you will find the skills to conquer your health during the postpartum period, feel confident in your body, and be the best mom you can be
— Signed, A mom who’s been there
Mom’s give so much of themselves, losing sleep, giving time to childcare, creating literal food for their children with their bodies if they’re breastfeeding, counting ounces of formula- and yet we expect them to '“bounce back” and “lose all the baby weight”
Motherhood is the most fulfilling role I’ve ever had. I love being my son’s everything right now but I am also a girl who wants to be strong, wants to feel good, and wants to be the best version of myself.
There is a lot of pressure to immediately change your body after having a baby and most of the time, the guidance you’re getting online is not realistic at all! In the early postpartum days I was constantly comparing myself and my nutrition to others who were not in the same phase of life as me and it was doing more harm than good. That’s why I created a postpartum nutrition guide tailored to YOU! Yes- you. A week postpartum is vastly different than a month which is vastly different than 6 months.
It’s not all about weight loss but I know that in a world of GLP-1’s and the revival of “skinny is best”, I understand the desire to be in a body you love. I don’t think there is anything inherently wrong about wanting to achieve a certain physique but as you continue on, remember this- your body built a whole new human being. You may be feeding a whole human being with your body and if you’re not, you’re still giving your all to them. Give yourself grace, hop off the comparison train, and take the next step in your postpartum journey.
